Octaviano Merecias-Cuevas is a public speaker, systems thinker, neuroeducator, researcher, and DEIB practitioner with more than 20 years of combined experience in the private, non-profit, and higher education sectors. Currently, he is a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University. In addition, he leads large-scale campus-wide training and education initiatives at Oregon Health University as a manager for Organizational Training and Education on DEI. Mr. Merecias obtained a post-master certification in Mind-Brain, and Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from the Derek Book Center Teaching and Learning Center at Harvard University, and a Master's from the School of Language and Society at Oregon State University, where joined the national Honors Society Phi Kappa Phi.
